StartDeck is wholly managed by Tom Armstrong, who plays a critical role in all aspects of the platform, including:
- Customer Support & Operations – Managing customer communications, onboarding, training, and ongoing support.
- Template Development & Content – Creating and maintaining document templates essential to the platform.
- Application & Workflow Design – Defining and refining the functionality and usability of the software.
- Help Resources & Training Materials – Developing help files, instructional videos, and other support resources.
- Product Development & Enhancements – Designing and implementing feature improvements and bug fixes.
- Technical Oversight – Managing the development team at Duskbyte.com, ensuring continued back-end support, server maintenance, and security.
- Marketing & Administration – Overseeing business operations, financial management, and promotional efforts.
Continuity Plan & Business Stability
To ensure the continued, uninterrupted operation of StartDeck in the event Tom Armstrong is unable to fulfill his responsibilities, a comprehensive Business Continuity Plan has been established.
This plan is supported by a dedicated team of four experienced professionals—all with extensive backgrounds in business administration, technology, and customer service.
Key elements of the Continuity Plan include:
- Operational Transition: A structured process to shift day-to-day management to designated family members and key personnel, ensuring a seamless experience for users.
- Development & Technical Support: The ongoing maintenance and development of the StartDeck platform will remain in the hands of the Duskbyte team, who have been deeply involved in its creation and management for over a decade.
- Customer Support & Communication: Customer inquiries, troubleshooting, and onboarding will continue through designated contacts, ensuring uninterrupted support.
- Financial & Administrative Continuity: All billing, subscriptions, and business administration functions will remain operational under the management of trusted business associates.
- Legal & Business Transition Planning: In the event of a long-term absence, provisions have been made for the potential sale or transfer of ownership to ensure continued service to StartDeck customers.
- Security & Data Integrity: All critical systems, including cloud storage, databases, and customer information, remain securely maintained and accessible to authorized personnel.
